Several TRSD parents have put together a petition asking the Administration and SB to reconsider the one-week spring vacation. Please find a copy here: http://www.chachka.net/pgt1.htm and help change this ill thought out "plan".

"School Calendar Discussion" is item #1 under Current Business on the Agenda for the next School Board meeting to be held on:

Anyone may also comment during any agenda item for up to three minutes (unless waived by the Board) by completing a comment card, and submitting it to the School Board secretary PRIOR to that agenda item being discussed by the Board.
Conduct a Board Meetings – Board meetings are conducted by Robert’s Rules of Order, Modern Edition. Thank you again to everyone that signed the petition and helped voice concern over the calendar changes.
I commend our School Board for rescinding the calendar and for listening to the public.
The calendar will more than likely be on the next meeting's Agenda: Thursday, May 21, 2009. It will follow a more traditional calendar; how much still remains to be seen. Please continue to follow the discussions. Another School Board vote will be required.
Again, thank you so much! |
