Has anyone else had high school students experience the need to talk to guidance and they have to go in fill out a request form, then come back the next day to get the actual appointment time, then comeback to meet with the guidance councilor? Seems like a waste of the students time, will cause some students to avoid the process and gives too much say in the process to a secretary? _________________ Le Canard |

Yes that is the way it works.
I've heard of kids being told they don't need to see a GC.
What happens in the situation where a kids gets up the courage to talk to someone about an issue and they face the inquisition. How many kids could be helped but will not go there.
I told my kids if they go in there and it is important they are ask to speak to the GC immediately and not to leave. (this is what the GC said to do).
Wait until our kids are Srs and they want to apply to colleges. |
