I've had two kids go through Atkinson. I've also worked there as a sub and a teacher assistant. Very dedicated staff, involved parents, nice facility. The principal, Heidi Webster, is leaving to work at an American school in Malaysia. ALL of us parents would like to see our assistant principal, Kathie Dayotis, appointed to that job. She's been a teacher and an assistant principal for a long time. She's honest, dedicated, bright, motivating and respected. Her specialty has been curriculum and she would be a great asset to the school as its principal. Ask any staff member or parent, Kathie is the glue that holds the school together.
We've been waiting for weeks to hear the district's decision on the new principal. To us it's a no brainer! |

On the June 5th SB agenda is the non-public interview with the Atkinson principal. It's possible that the SB may announce their decision that night. You might want to tune in on Thursday's meeting. |
